Lee Jae-Yong, Vice Chairman of Samsung Electronics is currently in India. He is interested to meet PM Modi and Mukesh Ambani soon. He came in India on Sunday. This is the first visit of him to India since March 2019.
Samsung is one of the biggest equipment suppliers for Reliance 4G Network. Now both the Samsung and Reliance are working 5G Network in India. It will be a great step for them to develop the 5G technology as soon as possible.
A source said that Mr Lee could meet with Prime Minister Modi. In July last year Samsung had set up world’s largest mobile manufacturing facilities in Noida. It was inaugurated by PM Modi and South Korean President Moon Jae-in.
Currently Samsung has two mobile manufacturing plants in India. One is in Noida and another plant is in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu. Also they five research and development centres in India. Samsung has one design centre in Noida with 70000 working people.
Make in India and Digital India programmes are developing the state Uttar Pradesh as new hub of mobile manufacturing. In the past few years Uttar Pradesh has got lot of new opportunities to develop the technology companies with a great business atmosphere.
Samsung has set up the facility in Noida with an aim to produce 68 to million units a year to 120 million units a year. It will be completed by end of the 2020.
As per the report, India has currently 450 million smartphone users. The number smartphone users may reach to 859 million by 2022 as per the expectation of mobile industries.
Hence Samsung India is targeting business worth 3000 crore rupees by selling more than 2 million smartphones online on the occasion of Diwali, Oct 27.
It is clear that Mr Lee recent visits express the interest in the Indian market. A big number of mobile users are available in the country. All the Mobile Industrialists are really enthusiastic to invest money in Indian market.
Xiomi has a great mobile selling environment for India. Redmi produces the mobile and sell in cheap price comparatively. Samsung sells their products with higher price compared to the Xiomi or Redmi.
Nowadays Realme is also getting a good response from their users. They are also increasing their user base. In recent few months Realme has launched low budget and medium range mobiles. Those are really getting huge sale in the Indian market.
